“Winter often evokes thoughts of snow, but there is so much more to the season to draw inspiration from when looking to design a wedding. Whether icicles dripping down or frosted trees dotting the mountainside set against a cool blue sky, ice is at the heart of the season. For this styled shoot, designed by Courtney Bush and captured by Ashlyn French Photography, the vision was for an intimate winter celebration capturing the feel of the cool, frozen Utah landscape while marrying it to the coziness often desired after a chilly outdoor escapade. Various shades of cool-toned blues form the base of the design. Whether it be the candles, the linens, or even the stunning cake by Aspen Cake Design, these blue hues are the foundation of the space. The florals, by Rosie Rue Floral Co, extend along the entirety of the table with petals substituted for frost. To bring the feeling of ice indoors, silver and crystal details are placed throughout the tablescape including glass bead napkin rings and silver bridal jewelry. Warming touches such as the velvet table runner, taper and votive candles, and fur wraps at every seat bring warmth to the otherwise chilly space. The bride herself beautifully stands out in her sparkling Boda Bridal gown and veil and frosty makeup design by Karla Riffle Makeup. Inviting guests to the event are custom white and dusty blue invitations by Weddings by Rose Blossom Design.”
