“Mary Helen and Cole’s love story began when Mary Helen made the bold move from Chicago to Las Vegas for a new job. Although she didn’t know anyone in the city and initially questioned her decision to leave home, everything changed when she met Cole. The couple connected online, as many modern couples do, and despite Cole’s frequent travels as a professional golf caddy, he knew he had to seize the opportunity to ask Mary Helen out before his next trip. Their first date was at a 24-hour sports bar, following Mary Helen’s late shift at the emergency room. While their dates were often sporadic due to Cole’s busy travel schedule, they always involved captivating stories from his adventures around the world—stories that Mary Helen couldn’t get enough of. After several months of in-person dates and FaceTime calls from opposite sides of the globe, Cole asked Mary Helen to be his girlfriend in his signature style: over a home-cooked meal and a glass of wine at his house. Two years later, after getting engaged, the couple knew they wanted their wedding to be a fun, unforgettable celebration set in a stunning location, surrounded by family and friends. Tying into Cole’s love for golf, they chose Canyon Gate Country Club for its gorgeous views, striking sunset, and neutral color palette. Mary Helen dreamed of a romantic, minimalist aesthetic, something that would reflect her character and personal style, and we brought that vision to life. Dainty camomile florals, ball dahlias, white anemones, and lisianthus set the stage for the modern romantic vibe, with a textured linen complemented beautifully by a delicately embroidered fabric and gold-foiled menus and place cards for a little wow moment. Held in The Holy Spirit Catholic Church, Mary Helen and Cole’s ceremony was deeply rooted in faith, an element that has been important to the bride for as long as she can remember. It was also home to some of the most beautiful garden portraits. Since the couple’s wedding was centered around a blend of understated elegance and their shared values, the reception carried this theme forward. The minimalist details, combined with soft lighting and subtle gold accents, created an intimate and romantic atmosphere. The evening was filled with love, laughter, and heartfelt toasts, as Mary Helen and Cole embarked on their new journey together, surrounded by the people they hold dear.”
