Dreamy Outside Wedding at The Bentwood Inn

June 12, 2024 BY: Amy

“Anthony stood at 10,000ft, looking out over the valley waiting for his bride. Although it was June, the mountain make their own weather and a cold wind tested the purchase his dress shoes had on the shale. The mountain he’s standing on now was the backdrop for their elopement the morning before. Kasey stepped off the Gondola and made her way to him- the velvet ribbon whipping in the wind holding on dear to the ranunculus in her bouquet. Their nerves were immediately quelled the moments their hands met and and there wasn’t another couple in all of Jackson as in love as Kasey and Anthony. When Anthony saw his bride walking down the aisle, she was technically already his wife. They had eloped the morning before, and had their union witnessed by only the sun rising over the Tetons and by two grazing moose in the near by river. Nevertheless, the anticipation this day was high and there wasn’t another couple in all of Jackson as in love as Kasey and Anthony. Every detail of their day was handled with care, from their custom engraved Tiffany’s bands, and the intentionality of their attire, to the vintage post card invitations that brought everyone to this place. Since love deserves celebrating; their families all made the pilgrimage to a mountain lodge in Jackson, Wyoming, and watched as the couple had a proper ceremony surrounded by flowers, the forrest, and love. People gathered around long tables, toasting to the couple as the afternoon rain fell on the tent above. As if poetic marriage advice from above, the storm quickly passed and as night fell, the sky was clear and bright. The rest of the time was spent dancing under lights that seemed to mirrored the constellations above- both of them eager for the future but at the same time wishing this night would never end.”
