“In late 2022 it felt like my world was falling apart. My father was diagnosed with cancer. Andrew, my partner of 7 years, dropped everything to be there with me and my family. Late night drives to and from my parents place, dog sitting, the list goes on and on. Whatever we needed he was there to do it. Ever since we first met in college he’s been my best friend and the person I can always rely on. That’s when we realized, when you know you want to spend the rest of your life with someone you want the rest of your life to start as soon as possible. In the middle of all this we had signed on to host Christmas for Andrew’s family. When putting up our Christmas tree I was shocked to find a ring in the ornament box. We celebrated with champagne and caviar that Andrew had hidden in the darkest depths of our fridge. The big day was so exciting and filled with friendship and laughter. We particularly loved exchanging personal vows and sneaking off to the fields surrounding the venue for some pictures right after the wedding, which gave us a moment to take in the next chapter of our lives together and reflect on the journey that had brought us here. An unplanned and utterly magical moment was the blood moon that appeared on the horizon as we all sat down to dinner. Something we’ll truly never forget. “
