“This shoot was all about bringing a romantic European style picnic to life, with soft florals, sun drenched details, and a laid back but joyful energy that comes from being surrounded by your dearest friends. We pictured a bride who was graceful but relaxed, someone who values beauty in the little things and loves intentional gatherings. We leaned into yellow as the star of the palette, adding little pops of blue and white to keep things feeling fresh and springy. The mismatched pastel bridesmaid dresses were one of my favorite details, each one different, just like the friends they represented. We were trying to emphasize the idea that friends are like flowers, each with their own distinct charm and beauty. Blackstone Country Club was the perfect setting with its gorgeous stone arches and lush courtyard that honestly felt like it was plucked straight from Europe. We kept the reception tables simple and inviting, mixing in rose-colored glassware, fan-shaped menus (both functional and cute!), and soft linens that made it feel like you could sit down and start chatting without worrying about messing anything up. Our goal was for something chic, but also lived-in. One of my favorite little moments from the day was the bouquet tucked into the bride’s bag. Tiffany of Evergreen Events wanted it to capture the carefree spirit of a European bride throwing her bouquet into her purse so she could run off to cocktail hour and enjoy a spritz with her friends. I loved how it added such a unique and fun touch to portraits in lieu of a traditional bouquet. It was a playful, spontaneous touch that felt so true to the vibe we were going for. I always say spring weddings are the perfect excuse to go all in on seasonal blooms and bright, happy colors, and this one checked every box.”
