Cute and Playful Colorado Engagement Session

November 21, 2023 BY: Bailey

“I met with Jess & Colin for their engagement session on August 12th. We chose to travel to Clinton Gulch a beautiful spot nestled between Copper Mountain & Leadville. I was so excited to shoot at this location for the first time, it was a relatively easy- but muddy!- 1 mile trail walk to the meadow. A walk that Jess did in heeled sandals I might add! I asked the pair how they met and in Jess’s own words, here’s how it went down. “Spring Break 2017. Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. We both were attending Colorado State University at the time, Colin was a Junior and I was a Sophomore. Traveling with different groups of friends- we had yet to meet each other at school. Leave it to the two of us to have to travel to Mexico just to meet each other and hit it off. Colin will tell you he had just finished a once-in-a-lifetime deep sea fishing trip, roping in some marlin, when he ran into Jess and her friends at the swim-up bar. It was safe to say that neither of us expected to meet our future spouse on that trip, but here we are a few years later and getting ready to spend our lives together. From then on, the two of us have been thick as thieves. With our shared love for good food, good drinks and good company – we’ve been busy falling in love over the past 6 years. Colin proposed on our annual trip to Vail this past November. He did it on our favorite hike, it was totally freezing but at least it helped make sure the ring fit! It was just the two of us and we wouldn’t have had it any other way.” It was cloudy for almost the entire day when we had planned to take their engagement photos, little did we know the mountains and the sunset would show off for us. It ended up being a stunning August evening to be in the mountains and take photos.”
