“Friends in Ann Arbor introduced Dalton and Julia during the fall of 2018. He was pursuing a graduate degree at U of M. She was living at home and teaching yoga after her time in Colombia. It didn’t take long for them to fall in love, bonding over their shared love of travel, food, and music. By the time Dalton left for work in Oklahoma City in the spring of 2019, they were committed to making their relationship work over distance. They each traveled to the other’s home for a weekend every month, enjoying many delicious meals, weekend trips, and friends and family visits during this time. When COVID hit in 2020, they moved into Dalton’s apartment in Oklahoma City. Since then, they have moved to Chicago and Denver, where they have continued enjoying the lifestyle they created together. They have also adopted a beautiful puppy named Xabi (pronounced Chabi). They have seen many changes together, but their love remains constant and growing. They were endlessly excited to get married and share this day with their close friends and family!”
