Cozy and Bold Fall Wedding at Rist Canyon Inn

July 8, 2026 BY: Amy

“Our love story started 12 years ago. As with all relationships, we have had our ups and downs. We have experienced death, tragedy, moving, job loss, and stress. But we have also experienced adventure, love, excitement, and pets, and now we can add our wedding to that list. The wedding was absolutely stunning in every way imaginable, from the weather (thank you, nature) to the venue and everything in between. We couldn’t have asked for a better and more divine day. The magic and majesty of it all could not be beat. Planning a wedding is always very difficult, time-consuming, and meticulous to make everything perfect. There are always hiccups, but those can’t get you down. We knew that this day was going to be perfect. Not because there were no flaws, no issues, or no problems, but because we were each marrying our best friend. Nothing was going to put a damper on our day. Some memories will always stick out, like having a groomsman surprise Andrew in a wedding dress for the first look, the adorable donkeys dressing in a little tux and dress, and of course adding the ring to our fingers. We danced to the song we always associated with us because, on that floor, when we were dancing and being silly, the rest of the room blacked out and we only had eyes for each other. If we continued to write this and include every great memory from that day, this would become a novel, and there just isn’t room for that. So the most important piece of advice we can give is to enjoy every minute of it. Take 1000 pictures, take more mental pictures. Don’t sweat the small stuff; it just isn’t worth it. Let nothing tarnish the day that you and your best friend become family. Love is the most important part of any wedding. More important than the venue, vendors, guests, weather, or anything else. Because without love, there is no reason for the day, so let your love shine brightest as we did. Love was the most important part of our wedding, and it is the most important part of our relationship, and we wouldn’t have it any other way.”
