“If you love serene winter landscapes, hygge inspired spaces, and cozy a-frame cabins then this winter a-frame elopement is everything you’ll want for your special day! Nestled in the woods outside of Durango, Colorado sits a peaceful little cabin with a red front door. The perfect little place to start your love story. The morning started off slow. Vivienne enjoyed being pampered by Southwest Hair and Makeup while she watched the snow fall from the windows upstairs. Austin laid out his brown ‘Mulberry’ colored suit while Wild Dawn snapped photos of Vivienne’s Allure designer dress with illusion puff sleeves from Katerina’s Darling Bridal. Rather than set-up a traditional ceremony in the woods, they used the back porch of the a-frame to exchange their vows. The beautifully constructed floral arrangements made by April’s Garden helped to frame the couple, and they loved the use of lush greenery and bright florals against the white snow. When it came time for a celebratory dinner, Mountainesque Weddings designed a hygge inspired sweetheart table with candlesticks, bud vases and earth tone ceramic dinnerware. Farm to Fingers served a warm plated dinner inspired by the season. As the temperatures dropped it was time to move inside. Wrapped in Pendleton, on a velvet loveseat the couple snuggled up on Alpine Peach furniture rentals, and finished out the night with a glass of champagne and a warm piece of cherry lattice pie made by Peaks Pie. It was exactly the Colorado winter getaway they were hoping for; quiet, elegant and just the two of them. The a-frame cabin not only provided a cozy place to stay for the weekend, but it also served as a beautiful space for an intimate elopement in the woods.”
