“My entire life, I’ve always dreamed of having my wedding under a white tent surrounded by mountains and trees. Finding a venue with these features was a lot harder than we anticipated, as June is peak wedding season in Utah. After some online searching, we came across Hidden Orchards, and it was as if it was meant to be. The venue had the tent, an apple orchard, and a stunning view of the mountains. I had found my dream man, and now my dream venue. The next thing on our list was finding a photographer and florist who matched the vibe we wanted for our wedding. It was hard to choose, but once we found Kait, Ben and Annie on Instagram, we were done searching. They both had the exact aesthetic we were looking for and amazing reviews. Working with them was incredibly easy due to their kind, thoughtful, and considerate personalities. I could hardly sleep the night before our wedding because I was so excited for what I knew would be the best day of my life. Getting ready that morning was such a special moment because I was with my whole family in the Airbnb, which made it feel even more fun and memorable. We laughed so much and shared so many sweet moments, all of us hardly believing the day had finally come. Bright and early, Zach and I were sealed for time and all eternity in the Payson, Utah, Temple. We had been worried for weeks because it was supposed to be extremely windy the entire day of our wedding, but we were pleasantly surprised by it being about 85 degrees and super sunny. Taking photos with family outside the temple was so fun and cheerful. Our luncheon was so amazing, too. The first time seeing friends and family who didn’t attend the temple but came to celebrate the rest of the day with us was such a thrill. The moment we got to the venue for the ceremony and reception was unforgettable. I walked in and heard laughter from friends and family who were setting up decor. I almost cried seeing the amazing floral arch come to life from Ben and Annie, and I was so excited to finally sit for a bit. Our ceremony was so unique and special. My father-in-law officiated the ring ceremony, and he surprised us by selecting special family members to share stories about love and marriage at random times in our ceremony. We didn’t know who was picked until they stood up, and each story and message was full of love, advice, and sweet memories. Now it was time to party! Zach and I went off and took a few pictures throughout the orchard, along with our siblings who made up our bridal party. Then we said our hello’s and thank you’s to everyone who came. We cut our cake, which was made by one of our best friends, and then had our dances. Zach and his mom went first to the sweetest song, and my dad and I followed, laughing the whole time so we wouldn’t cry. Then it was mine and Zach’s turn. We’re both a little awkward and not the best dancers, so we had honestly been dreading this first dance the entire day. Even though it went better than we thought it would, we ended up inviting everyone else to join us to break up the slight awkwardness about a minute into our dance. It was so perfectly ‘us’ and we wouldn’t have done it any other way. From there, no one left the dance floor, as we had a special line-up of our favorite dance songs, which had the crowd hyped. My beautiful bouquet went to Zach’s little cousin, and our sparkler send-off was full of bright flames! Literally, we had a huge fire at the end because my dad was holding about 30 sparklers in his hand. We left the venue with so much love in our hearts for everyone who came to celebrate us and our love. However, our love didn’t end up taking us too far distance-wise; directly after the wedding, we went through a car wash two minutes before closing-time because our car was a wreck, haha. We had entirely forgotten about the forecasted heavy winds due to the craziness of the day. It wasn’t until right when we left the car wash that we noticed the wind starting to pick up. We later learned that while our wedding day was perfectly sunny, the rest of Utah County was windy and cold. We couldn’t have been luckier. We are so grateful for our perfect wedding day surrounded by nature, our friends, our family, and each other. I’m also so thankful for all the photos Kait took that allow us to relive our special day, over and over again.”
