“Hannah and Riley first crossed paths at the University of Colorado Boulder in 2014, where they quickly discovered that they had much more in common than just their class schedule. Both had spent much of their childhood vacationing with family in Grand Lake, Colorad, and continued to make memories there as a couple. When they got engaged in April of 2023, the question of where to tie the knot was simple. Devil’s Thumb Ranch not only offered the stunning Grand County backdrop that the couple is so fond of, but also unmatched luxury and historic Rocky Mountain charm. It was important to Hannah and Riley to lean into the aesthetic of the venue to guide their design decisions, but also add a fun modern spin that felt very true to their couple style. With the help of Payton Ellis, owner of Promise Event Planners, and her arsenal of incredible Colorado vendors, Hannah and Riley’s special day was a modern western fairytale with bursts of color, disco ball sparkle, and personal vintage touches. Adam Houseman and his terrific team of photographers and videographers beautifully captured the essence of the day, which was complemented by the unexpected beauty (and shocking range!) of Colorado weather. From clear skies and crisp fall air at the ‘western chic’ themed rehearsal dinner and welcome party, to the moody, cloud-covered ceremony, the wedding weekend was full of magical moments filled with laughter, love, and family – in body and spirit. The 21st of September will be one Hannah and Riley will forever remember!”
