Cold Weather Engagement Session in Colorado

December 3, 2023 BY: Bailey

“Our proposal was quiet the adventure! We are both from Texas but have spent summers and winters in Colorado growing up as well as once we started dating. Stephan & I talked about how we wanted to do a quick weekend trip to Colorado just to get out of Dallas. We were expecting to go on nice spring weather hikes but ended up being worried our flights were going to get canceled due to snow. Keep in mind this was the last weekend of May. We made it to Denver with snow still on the ground and way more snow in the mountains. When we were in Breckenridge, 12 inches fell in just a few hours. So, our hiking plans got canceled (which is where Stephan planned on proposing, I didn’t know at the time). I was fine with just exploring, going to breweries, etc.. and didn’t get an idea he was going to propose until he mentioned multiple times that we should “stop and take some pictures”. This was obviously very unlike him but I was like “sure okay??”. So we stopped by Lake Dillon and that’s where he got down on one knee. It was freezing cold but the background was beautiful. Even thought it wasn’t what he had planned, it still turned out to be perfect and made for a great story.”
