“Jared and Lauren met sophomore year of high school in Colorado. They both were in Spanish class together and their teacher kept pairing them to practice their vocabulary cards. Little did they know, they would start dating that next year and be together through high school, college, and eventually tie the knot. They attended Colorado State University together and after graduation, moved to California for Jared’s finance job while Lauren taught elementary school. They rented their first apartment together and rescued their dog, Scout. After California, Lauren decided to pursue her passion as a musician and move to Nashville, Tennessee. Jared soon followed and on a trip to visit Lauren’s family on October 10th 2020, Jared proposed on the patio of Lauren’s family home with both of their families in attendance. He strung lights all over the house and in large lit up letters had “Marry Me” spelled out with the mountains as a backdrop. After nearly a two year engagement and lots of planning, Jared and Lauren got married at the Manor House in Littleton, Colorado on July 1, 2022. They loved the classic look of the Manor House and decided to lean into the timeless theme. The Ptarmigan string Quartet played during the ceremony and Jared’s older brother, Josh officiated. Greenery and baby’s breath decorated the ceremony and as the couple said, “I do” guests threw white rose petals as they made their way down the aisle. The biggest surprise of the night came when Lauren surprised Jared with a first dance song she had written and recorded herself called, “Getting Old.” Jared and Lauren achieved their “classic” look with a plethora of candles, white tablecloths, black silk bridesmaid dresses, a black and white photo booth, and small details such as Lauren’s tulle bridal gloves. The night ended with pizza and a 1999 Jaguar getaway car.”
