“I was heading up skiing with a friend from college (who happened to be Sam’s best high school friend & now our best man) and some of his friends were meeting us at Outer Range Brewery in Silverthorne, Colorado! I walked in and I think time stopped. I see Sam and I try to act all cool. We’re all ordering beers at the main counter. For some reason I thought asking to try his beer was the way to go…I still remember which one it was – the Kolsch. Love at first beer. Fast forward to the next day, we go skiing. You thought his looks were enough, wait until you see him ski. It is magical. I was in love at first sight. Until the guys took me up East Wall…one of the steepest runs in all of Colorado – TWICE! I left that day and I couldn’t stop thinking about Sam. I suggested we meet up for a beer at my favorite brewery sometime SOON – Zuni Street Brewery it was! That is our favorite neighborhood spot to this day. Safe to say that breweries and the outdoors are some of our favorite things.”
