“Despite Justis and Michaela growing up just five short minutes from one another, their story didn’t start until they turned eighteen. A stereotypical ‘meet-cute’ at a busy bar in Calgary, Michaela caught Justis’ eyes from across the room and the rest was history. The couple were inseparable all summer, but their paths swiftly diverged after Michaela had to leave for school to the University of Victoria. As if by fate, three years later Justis rekindled their love one summer night at their favourite vacation spot, Invermere BC. Little did they know, years later they would be tying the knot in that very place, on a rainy Saturday nestled between the Kootenay mountains. The couple gathered together all their closest family and friends to share in their wedding day. Looking back, every detail of this day captured the essence of who they were and had a special link to their love story. From the old childhood friend who stood as their officiant, to the custom cocktails and signature ‘game day’ photos requested by the groom, this wedding was everything they could have dreamed of and more. To any couple getting married in the near future, their one piece of advice is to savour every moment of the process and to remember that rain on a wedding day is always good luck!”
