“Lincoln and Jonathan met in 2019 the day before Lincoln was moving from Hamilton to Toronto. On their second date just a few days later, Jonathan helped Lincoln move a few boxes from his car up to his new place. Jonathan even helped build some patio furniture so they had somewhere to sit and eat. After several more dates and a lot of GO train trips between Hamilton and Toronto, the two of them made their relationship official in October of 2019. After a fairly new and normal relationship, things took a turn in 2020 when the global pandemic changed the world. Lincoln and Jonathan were nearly inseparable during the lockdowns and restrictions which lead to the ultimate decision for Jonathan and his cat, Maleficent, to move in with Lincoln and his dog, Casper. They shared a TINY one bedroom condo in downtown Toronto just one month shy of their first anniversary. Another year went by, and with it, two moves, one career change, and multiple road trips across Canada. Then on October 25th, 2021, while on vacation in Banff, at the top of Sulphur Mountain, Jonathan asked Lincoln to marry him. As well as a tip for those planning a wedding in the near future: A big tip during the planning and execution of the wedding would be to meet with as many vendors as necessary until you find the right people who will be there to help create the most magical day of your life. You don’t want to settle for anything but the best on your special day, so it’s important to find vendors who you connect with and can trust to bring your dreams to life!”
