“After visiting Colorado on a trip with friends, Louis knew The Little Nell in Aspen, Colorado would be the perfect place to exchange vows with his fiancé, Stefanie, who he’s known since high school. They booked with Calluna to assist with the long distance planning of their destination wedding! From the beginning Stefanie was intentional about the look and feel she wanted the wedding to have – to showcase Colorado’s beauty but focus on the exceptional food, wine and hospitality The Little Nell is known for. The wedding weekend was kicked off with an intimate rehearsal dinner at Campo de Fiori Aspen, which provided a lovely backdrop for a traditional Italian meal amongst their closest friends and family. The evening continued at Aspen Brewing where the rest of the wedding guests gathered for a kick off to the weekend! Stefanie got ready at The Little next on the wedding day, with a backdrop of blue skies and fall temperatures and views of Aspen Mountain. The two of them and their wedding party took the gondola up for a first look and took in the epic views at the Aspen Wedding Deck. After an intimate first look, Stefanie, Louis, their wedding party and families endured chilly temps for portraits on top of the stunning Aspen mountain. Right after everyone tucked themselves inside, clouds and fog dramatically swept in, dropping the temperature into the 30’s and obscuring the yellow aspen trees that were showing off just a few minutes earlier. With the help of their talented planning team, Calluna Events, guests were invited inside for a warm drink and to bundle up before heading out to an expedited ceremony. Freezing temps didn’t phase these two – even when the wind swept Stefanie’s veil out of her hair – they promised themselves to one another for life. After warming up during cocktail hour, guests were led into a glowing and welcoming reception in the Sundeck, with florals from Carolyn’s Flowers, lighting from Halcyon! Guests were then treated to a coursed five-star dinner, with paired wines selected by the couple and then got ready to dance the night away to the sounds of Mannequin the Band. The toasts were some of the best we heard all season and the dance floor was packed the rest of the night! We adore this couple and their families and wish them all the love in the world!
