“I guess you could call it a modern love story! We originally met and were friends in high school. We reconnected years later thanks to social media. Patrick proposed on Lady Bird Lake in Austin, Texas, where we had our first date. He surprised me by having both families cheer us on from Congress Avenue Bridge. When planning our wedding the vision was a fun weekend getaway, an intimate ceremony in the mountains with our families, and a fancy meal shared around one big table. A little outdoorsy, a little bougie…kind of like us. We exchanged vows in the mountains at Collective Retreats, Vail. I secretly hoped for rain on the big day, and Colorado delivered that (and wind, sun, and hail at one point). It was magical. We followed the ceremony with a delicious meal at Flame Four Seasons, which now seems appropriate considering the weather that day! It was a beautiful, unforgettable day. Colorado will always hold a special place in our hearts.”
