“Kaitlyn and Benjamin met at a New Mexico United game right before the pandemic started. After liking a few of each other’s stories, Benjamin finally messaged Kaitlyn and the two began their love story. They spent the first two years of their relationship doing long distance with thousands of FaceTimes and frequent visits to see each other. When Benjamin decided he wanted to propose he reached out to his good friends to make Kaitlyn’s engagement ring, which then took a special journey from New York to Albuquerque. Benjamin then reached out to Dominique to capture their proposal and find the perfect place to start their forever. The morning of, Benjamin left a note for Kaitlyn saying that they should get dressed up and watch the sunset at a rooftop bar downtown. When they got to the car, Benjamin mentioned that they needed to make a stop before going downtown, and Kaitlyn began to grow suspicious of what he was up to. Once they arrived to this detour, Benjamin suggested they go for a short walk through the open space. A little ways into the walk, Benjamin suddenly stopped, spun Kaitlyn around, and reached in his back pocket. Kaitlyn responded, ‘Are you really doing what I think you’re doing?’, to which he said, ‘Yes, I am!’, and got down on one knee and asked the infamous four worded question and if you hadn’t guessed… the answer was YES!”
