An Upscale Summer Picnic Engagement Session

“An Upscale Summer Picnic on Film near Aspen Was The Perfect Engagement For This Sweet Couple! Jenna planned a trip to Napa, CA, for her birthday last year and Joe decided to surprise her with an engagement on the last day! They had plans to go to one of their favorite wineries, Blue Oak Vineyard, but when they arrived we had the entire place to themselves. Joe proposed and it was incredibly intimate, but he had also secretly hired a photographer to document the whole thing. After saying yes and taking some fun proposal photos together, Joe surprised Jenna yet again by letting her know he had also hired a private chef to serve them a 4 course meal at the winery. It was a beautiful day! This upscale summer picnic engagement took place on a gorgeous sunny afternoon in Twin Lakes, CO. Twin Lakes is just on the east side of Independence Pass, close to Aspen. The vision for this romantic engagement photo shoot was a sunny summer picnic complete with charcuterie board, strawberries, fringed blanket, pillows, and wine from Blue Oak Vineyard, the vineyard where Jenna and Joe got engaged. The photographer chose Kodak Gold 200 for its warm tones on a day with plenty of beautiful sunshine. The overall style of this shoot was a warm vibe, enjoying the summer sunshine, with delicious snacks, cuddling, and love stories!”
