“We both share a deep love of travel, and choosing a destination for our intimate elopement was a real challenge—there are so many incredible places in the world! But again and again, our hearts kept leading us back to Santa Fe, New Mexico. We settled on a random Tuesday afternoon in October—which is definitely one of our favorite months—and it couldn’t have been more perfect. The crisp autumn air, the vibrant colors of the changing leaves, and the enchanting spirit of Santa Fe that time of year just felt magical. We wanted to create a relaxed, meaningful space where we could officially say ‘I do,’ while also having time to explore and enjoy the city with our closest friends and family. We finally landed on a beautiful private estate that offered everything we were looking for. Not only did it provide the most breathtaking setting for our ceremony, but it was also the perfect home base for our adventures around Santa Fe before and after the wedding. Our wedding day itself was like something out of a dream. The weather was absolutely flawless—cool enough to feel cozy, but still warm with sunshine. We had arranged for a local private chef, Mica Chavez, to prepare a delicious brunch, and we spent the morning in pure bliss: sipping coffee, sharing laughs, and listening to some of our favorite music. One of our dearest friends, Ali Lawless—who owns AnaRie Beauty—took care of our hair and makeup, and she made the whole getting-ready experience feel even more special. For our ceremony, we really wanted it to reflect our relationship and the journey we’ve taken together. We chose music that perfectly captured who we are and the love we share. We also decided to honor the four elements—earth, air, fire, and water—by moving through four different spaces on the estate. At each stop with our officiant, we paused to speak words of gratitude, blessings, and promises, making our vows feel that much more intimate and sacred. Every moment of that day still feels like pure magic to us. Santa Fe turned out to be exactly the dreamy, soul-stirring place we had hoped for, and sharing it with the people we love most made it all the more meaningful. We look back on those memories with so much gratitude and warmth in our hearts, and can’t wait to return to that special spot where our forever really began.”
