You know what they say, rain on your wedding day is good luck! Annie and Dalani said “I do” under cloudy skies at the beautiful new venue, Siempre. From a gorgeous outdoor ceremony under the chandeliered arbor and a floral filled reception to a soaking wet send-off in the rain, this wedding is a dream!
“Annie and Dalani first met at a mutual friend’s birthday party back in 2015 but Annie left right after saying hi.. so their story didn’t start there. Fast forward a few years later, Dalani and his friend ran into Annie at comic con where Annie invited them to dinner with her and her cousins after the convention was over but they didn’t show up.. so their story didn’t start there either. Or maybe it did? Dalani may not have shown up that night but he didn’t stop talking about Annie to his buddies. Eventually, he got her Snapchat from a mutual friend of theirs, and to your surprise.. SHE ACCEPTED!! He watched her Snapchats but never knew what to say or how to start a convo with her. Eventually, he found the perfect opportunity to message her because they were both going to a twilight concert that use to be held every year downtown Salt Lake. They ended up meeting up with each other and he told her a joke. Dalani is known to tell some of the worst or best dad jokes to all of his friends and family. The joke went a little like this. Question: “What did the bread say to his wife when she got mad at him?” What did he say? Answer: “Why you gotta be so sour dough.” It was that one joke that reeled Annie in. Although it seemed like no one around him was impressed (probably because they hear his jokes a million times a day), she was his BIGGEST fan. She wanted to keep hearing his silly dad jokes and they continued talking until it turned into something special. He asked her out a couples months later and 5 years later they tied the knot on their 5 year anniversary. Now she gets to laugh at his jokes for the rest of her life.”
