“Parker and Heidi met in August 2018 at Baylor University where Parker was starting his senior year and Heidi was starting her junior year. They were first introduced by mutual friends at the legendary Scruffy Murphy’s college bar next to campus. Parker asked Heidi to be his girlfriend that next month and the rest is history.
Along the way, they adopted crazy Presley (Mr. Pickles) a Mini Aussie and many of their favorite things to do together revolve around him. Parker proposed to Heidi on a sunny day in November. Heidi thought she was meeting best friends and sorority sisters at a local vineyard, Trattoria Lisina. When Heidi arrived, she quickly realized that it was a surprise proposal under a beautiful oak tree! Needless to say, Heidi said yes and they celebrated in Downtown Austin with family and friends.
Heidi and Parker celebrated their love story in the beautiful Rocky Mountains of Vail for a whimsical, mountain garden wedding ceremony and reception on September 3rd, 2022. Heidi was inspired by the seasonal lush greenery of the mountains with pops of white and champagne. The couple honored their families love stories by displaying Heidi’s mother’s and grandmother’s wedding gown as well as Heidi’s mother-in-law’s gown next to a “Once Upon a Time” table.
Advice to the future couples: Take some time alone and with your partner to take in your wedding day and all the hard work put in to make the big day happen! Parker and I rode up the Vail Eagle Bahn Gondola alone and it is one of our favorite memories to look back on. We talked about how excited we were, nervous we were, and how we couldn’t wait for what the next chapter held for us in marriage.”
