“Our love story started over seven years ago. Devon and I met on a night out, being introduced by a mutual friend, we instantly hit it off from the start (having so much fun we both can barely remember that night haha). A few days later Devon had reached out, and asked to go on a walk. Funny thing being we lived three blocks away from each other, not knowing at all prior! We met up and talked for hours, it was an instant connection and effortless bond. As cheesy as it is to say it was like we were meant for each other- made perfectly for one another. Fast forward five years to our engagement. We were on a trip in Mexico for my birthday, he had planned a romantic excursion on a catamaran. Transporting us to be dropped off on a private island. When we arrived, the island was full of candles, leading us to enjoying a beautiful romantic dinner together. After we ate, we decided to explore the island, while walking I had spotted a gigantic heart shaped out of candles, we of course stopped for a photo and asked another couple to take our picture. He took the opportunity to propose, it was the most magical moment I could have ever dreamed of. The couple that had taken our photo were in tears and shared how it was their 38th wedding anniversary today. We took it as a sign, knowing that our love was meant to be. When it came to choosing a photographer to capture our love, it was an easy decision knowing that I had always wanted Schae to be the one to photograph this moment in my life. Having followed her work for many years!! Speaking with Schae, we knew we wanted our engagement session to be dreamy and whimsical, outdoors in the nature. Schae truly took our envision and captured it beyond what I could have ever imagined. Her eye for lighting and attention to detail truly shined through in each image. Her ability to make the moment so special and comfortable was beyond appreciated. She took every opportunity to get to know us and our love story. It was our first time being together at Spruce Coulee, the scenery was breathtaking. I could not have asked for better place to capture our photos. The timing of our photos were perfect, with the light beaming through the trees and the glass like water mirroring the beauty around truly set the tone. We cannot thank Schae enough for her talent and are beyond excited for her to be apart of our wedding!”
