“With the trend of elopements & intimate weddings continuing to take a front seat since the pandemic, we wanted to create a luxury elopement shoot that had all the beautiful details a full wedding may have. We hosted this shoot at The Malcolm Hotel, which is a luxury hotel in the Canadian Rockies. Every moment was shot with the beautiful Rockies in the background. Focusing on textures over colour, we created a monochromatic & romantic design. From travertine stone, to a 3-tier floating cake with paper floral details, this all-white design was filled with so many textures. Working with Megan Renee Photography was wonderful – she captured the shoot beautifully. Hue Florals created two stunning 4-foot floral pillars using dried florals and sticks to create depth & texture among the white hydrangeas, roses, and carnations. The tablescape used travertine stone & ceramic taper candle holders, along with a velvet tablecloth & chiffon runner & napkins to create interest with the tone on tone whites. The floating 3-tier cake from Yvonne’s Delightful Cakes was showstopping. An elegant & modern invitation suite from Paper Ocelot, a 3 carat oval diamond engagement ring from Alberta Diamond Exchange & delicate hair piece from Joanna Bisley Designs were the perfect details that added to the luxurious shoot. Every vendor came together to create a romantic, ethereal & elevated elopement shoot. It was a dream to work with such talented vendors.”
