“Amie and Chris first met while working at the University of Utah—she as an ER nurse and he as an ER doctor. What started as long shifts and shared dedication to their patients naturally grew into a relationship built on respect, care, and love. Photographing their wedding at Twenty and Creek was a full-circle experience for me. I had photographed Amie’s twin sister, Erin’s, wedding a few years earlier, and before that, Erin and I had worked together in the ICU during COVID—she as a respiratory therapist and me as a nurse, before I transitioned into photography. Being part of Amie and Chris’s day felt deeply connected, both personally and professionally, and it was an honor to document such an important moment in their story.”
