“Kasey and Eric were married at the base of Sun Valley’s Bald Mountain on the lawn of River Run Lodge. Kasey, an avid skier, grew up visiting and exploring Bald Mountain, making the location deeply meaningful. The couple shares a unique connection; despite both growing up on Mercer Island, attending the same schools from elementary through high school, and both graduating from Pomona College, they didn’t meet until returning to Seattle in May 2023, and meeting online. Their journey together has since included home renovations with their pitbull, Peanut, travels to Japan and Sweden, and a year of hip-hop classes leading up to their wedding day. The wedding design was deeply personal, incorporating a color palette of white, cream, and gold inspired by sun on the snow. They also included light orange accents and orange flip-flops during the reception to honor Kasey’s late brother, Will. As a surprise gift from her bridesmaids, Kasey carried a photo of Will on her bouquet. The florals featured Sun Valley meadow-inspired arrangements and Eric’s favorite dahlias. Place cards were set on white agate with gold rims, reminiscent of the quartz stones Kasey found while hiking in the area. Sustainability was a priority, with most decor being vintage or thrifted—including hand-written signage on gold mirrors—and items were donated or gifted following the event to minimize waste. It was a wonderful evening that perfectly combined their Seattle roots with their love for Sun Valley, ending with a night of dancing alongside their favorite people and a band representing both locations.”
