“Emma and Ryan met in 2018 while attending college in different states. They’ve spent the last few years long-distance, exploring new cities together and traveling the world. Emma says she knew Ryan was the one when she had the crazy idea to invite him to join her on a three-week long trek through Southeast Asia- they’d only been dating for six months. Ryan was crazy enough to agree and away they went! They both say it was a true test of their relationship and a major reason that they are here today. Ryan reached out to Bailey (Event Planner) and Emily (Photographer) in June to surprise Emma with a picnic proposal at Brainard Lake. He planned an small picnic set up complete with white roses, their favorite photos of the two them and champagne. He even flew both of their immediate families to Denver for the weekend so they could be there with them to celebrate. Emma was so surprised when she saw the picnic that she couldn’t wait a moment longer to be engaged to Ryan. If you ask her, she’ll tell you that instead of simply saying ‘yes’ when he popped the question, she said, ‘Well, are you going to put the ring on my finger or what?!’ A few months later, they reached back out to Emily (photographer) to plan their engagements session. They wanted clean and classic photos, wearing all white outfits, sleek silhouettes and picking a location with golden fields. Emma and Ryan will be married in November 2025.”
