“We’re high school sweethearts who started dating over 12 years ago, and eventually moved from our small town in Ontario to Vancouver, British Columbia, three and a half years ago to begin our life together. We got engaged in beautiful Banff, Alberta, and always knew we wanted an intimate coastal celebration in our favourite place — Tofino. Even though it was the middle of summer, it rained every day leading up to our wedding, so we actually booked our ceremony venue the day before! Thankfully, the skies cleared and we were blessed with the most perfect Tofino weather — dramatic waves, moody clouds, and just enough wind to make everything feel magical. For our reception, we brought in touches of pink, yellow, and green to remind us it was still summertime. We added personal details like oyster candles made by @eventsbyelle and drank from seashell glasses all night — a nod to the coastal charm that inspired our day. While many brides choose multiple looks, I decided to stay in my wedding gown all night and give it the love it truly deserved. After 12 and a half years together, celebrating surrounded by family, old friends, and new ones felt like the most special and meaningful way to finally say ‘I do.'”
