“We met on a beautiful summer day in July of 2019. A mutual friend of ours thought we would make a good match and she was not wrong. The first few years of our relationship was spent in a global pandemic in New York City. When the pandemic was over, we could not wait to get out there and hike, travel, eat and enjoy the simple things we couldn’t during the pandemic. Four years later, Barry said he wanted to take me hiking on the same mountain we went on our first hiking trip some years ago. At the top, he got down on one knee and I said, ‘YES’! Shortly after, we took a big leap, packed our bags and moved to colorful Colorado. As huge lovers of nature and outdoor recreation, we decided it was time to leave New York City and explore. It was one of the best decisions we ever made and it helped us grow so much as a couple. We knew we wanted to get married here in Colorado and finding The Tapestry House sealed the deal. The venue was serene, ethereal and rustic all at once. It is surrounded by the grandeur of the Rockies but still gave the most intimate feeling. 65 of our closest friends and family flew here from all over the country and for one night, we had everyone we’ve ever loved in one place. We incorporated themes that we loved and DIYed details to match our aesthetic. National Park signs as table signs, pinecones as a part of our floral decor, a whimsical wedding dress. It was the small wedding we’ve always wanted and so much more. We danced and celebrated all night knowing this was one of the happiest days of our lives.”
