“It all started in Aspen, Colorado where Ben was a bartender at a local bar. Nicki happened to walk in one evening for a drink and the sparks exploded on that fateful night. However life had other plans immediately for them as Ben had to move away for over five years. Both thought the whatever spark had ignited that night would be quenched, however when Ben finally moved back, they reconnected immediately, fell in love, and decided to get married. They moved to Carbondale, Colorado and became enthralled with the view of Mount Sopris that resides there. They found Springs Creek Ranch for a venue which offered an intimate ceremony location with their favorite view for a backdrop as well as mountain streams running through the area and serene ponds. Their closet family and friends joined them here for a sunny summer day in mid August. They decided on not having a wedding party, and to keep the intimacy focused on them. They got ready and dressed in the provided suites on the property of Springs Creek. Deciding not to do a first look, Ben absolutely broke into tears as he first saw his bride-to-be escorted by her father and grandfather down the grassy isle during their processional. They both shared intimate, hand-written vows to each other during the ceremony. Afterwards, we were kindly taken around the property by the manager of Spring Creeks Ranch to some amazing places for photo-ops with views of Mount Sopris; there was a rainbow, a reflective pond, and an open meadow as the sun set. The reception was held in the open air barn with toasts, cake cutting, and lots of laughter. After all the food and beverage, their friends and family partied outside in the amazing mountain weather past sunset and late into the evening. It was an incredible day.”
