A Grandiose Wedding at the Fairmont

The Proposal

“On a Friday after work, Emma was going to her girlfriend’s house for what she thought was dinner. Wearing a casual jacket and jeans and no makeup, she headed off, where her friend had dinner ready. Emma’s friend received a phone call from her mom, saying that she was “on the way” to Emma’s parents house, to say hi, and what a funny coincidence that Emma was also over at the same time! Emma’s friend’s mom asked if Emma and her friend would stop by, as Emma’s friend lived close to Emma’s parents. She said yes, and what Emma thought was a casual drop by, had turned out to be Matthew at Emma’s parents house, proposing to Emma in front of her friends and family. What was supposed to be a casual night, turned out to be one of the most incredible days, and had been planned to perfection to pretend that everything was a “coincidence” when in fact, it completely was not. Matthew and Emma celebrated with champagne and dinner after the proposal, and had a fantastic evening with family and friends.”

The Wedding

“Our day was spectacular! After two long years of planning during COVID, we said “I Do” at the majestic Fairmont Hotel Vancouver, amongst friends and family. We are so blessed and privileged to have worked with such incredible vendors, who made our day absolutely perfect. Everything was absolutely beautiful, and we will remember this special day for the rest of our lives. Regarding planning inspiration, really have faith in your vendors! They are true experts in their fields, and if ever in doubt about how to proceed, make sure to ask them! I can’t think of how many times I was stuck on something, or confused on how to proceed with things like flowers, decor, color scheme, venue, etc. Your vendors can guide you, and as they did for me, I am so happy that I took their advice! If any advice for wedding planning, make sure to constantly remain calm! It can definitely be overwhelming, but as long as you remain calm, and know that it will all get done, you will make it through the process. Also, make sure to rely on your support system if ever overwhelmed! My family, friends and fiance were all so supportive whenever I needed to rant, or needed help.”
