“Gage and I grew up spending our summers and winters in Crested Butte, Colorado but didn’t cross paths until five years ago when we started medical school. In the summer of 2020 we took our first trip to Crested Butte together with a few close friends. From the moment we started our road trip out west, Gage and I had an immediate connection and barely slept the entire trip while we got to know each other. We ultimately started dating in December of that year and continued to spend our winters skiing and summers hiking, always dragging our friends along with us. Gage ended up proposing at Bryce Canyon on another one of these bi yearly trips and flew all our friends and family out to middle-of-nowhere Utah to surprise me. Therefore, when it came to deciding where to get married, there was no better place in our minds than Crested Butte. The place that had been our second home all our lives and had seen the start of our relationship and watch it flourish. We were married this June at the end of our first year of residency training. Being again in our favorite place with all our favorite people who were there for our first trip in 2020, now standing by our sides as we were married, was the perfect full circle beginning to this next journey of our lives.”
