“Monica and Ryan’s journey to their wedding day was anything but typical. After dating for a year, they broke up for four only to reconnect at a good friend’s wedding, where they never looked back from that point on. The next two years were full of travel, skiing, raising their puppy, and making Denver their home together. Then on a beautiful Rocky Mountain October day in 2019, Ryan surprised Monica at C Lazy U Ranch , where she was on a girl’s weekend trip, to ask her the fateful question that he had been determined to for so long. The whole world knows what happened next and their wedding had to be postponed. One year-long pandemic delay later, Monica and Ryan decided that rather than hosting “just” a wedding, they had to throw a celebration. And, since this would be the biggest gathering most guests had attended in the previous two years, the night’s festivities had to deliver something special. A kick-ass party is what EVERYONE deserved! So when the time came to start planning, New Year’s Eve in Colorado was decided as the perfect time and place to welcome all of their family and friends to clink champagne flutes and send the year off in epic fashion. To truly capture the magic of Colorado, the ceremony was an outdoor affair and was what winter fairytales are made of…a roaring fireplace, cozy fur blankets, spiked cocoa for extra warmth & (mostly gentle) snowfall. Everyone was standing in a real-life snow globe! Upon sealing the nuptials, the party moved inside where a family style Spanish feast had been prepared. Arrangements by Earth Tones Floral and candles that lit the hall set the mood for an intimate and classy evening. The group danced and toasted the night away ‘till the ball dropped with the most rocking live band in Rockies, Al Tune & The Kool Kompany. Completing the evening with a midnight kiss adorned with a glimmering, sparktacular backdrop, this couple rang in 2022 with the resolution of life long love together.”
