“David’s favorite moment of the wedding day was standing at the altar watching Meghan walk down the aisle with the biggest smile on her face, seeing her so happy and then standing at the altar with his soon to be beautiful wife. Meghan’s best moment of the day was when they had a quiet moment in the barn before seeing the guests and walking down the aisle. Having a few moments of peace together to reminisce on how far we have come as a couple and to think about the rest of our lives together in private was incredibly special. From day one, designing this intimate, elevated, western Montana wedding weekend was all about how to balance the ‘down to earth’ qualities of the couple with the luxury wedding they wanted their guests to experience. The best way to elevate a western feel is to incorporate gorgeous linen textures, accentuate the beautiful mountain views with outdoor lounges and make the florals out of this world. The dichotomy of the elegant gold details and the western touches of the cowhide rugs and skulls really came together in a truly stunning way I wasn’t expecting. Meghan and David were truly a JOY to plan for! I take every wedding day and turn it into a day where their guests can walk in and immediately think, ‘yup, this is Meghan and David’s wedding.’ The personal touches are the most important to me as their planner. Their love isn’t a cookie cutter story and neither is their wedding day. David wanted their wedding to feel intimate and have space for him to have with his small family. I created a ‘whiskey lounge’ just for him in the basement of Star M Barn, among the horse stalls. They love fishing, so the tables were named with the fish breeds local to Montana. Their favorite whiskey is Woodford (and the name of their dog), so empty woodford bottles were used as decor.”
