“Set against the backdrop of the Mesa Verde Motel, this desert-chic editorial wedding shoot blended retro-inspired decor, bold colors, and playful patterns. Inspired by the motel’s vintage charm, the timeless mid-century touches of Mesa Verde Motel set the scene for the couple’s authentic character – from craft cocktails to a locally inspired farm-to-table meal, a beverage burro, and unfussy floral arrangements. At the heart of the shoot was a nod to the motel’s nostalgic roots, with each element layered with intention: a color palette of rust, terracotta, marigold, and dusty pink; custom stationery reflecting the couple’s love for something elegant yet eclectic and their intention for an intimate gathering. A farm-to-table meal highlighted seasonal, locally sourced ingredients, while the beverage burro added a whimsical touch to the elevated dinner cocktails. The florals highlighted the textures of the surrounding elements in Colorado, combining dried and fresh blooms for a non-trend look that mirrored the surrounding desert flora. The photographer and videographer captured the joy of the newlyweds in a playful yet refined atmosphere, with fashion choices that resembled modern elements while also incorporating vintage-inspired accessories. This shoot wasn’t just about aesthetics, but about creating an immersive experience that lets the viewer feel part of all Southwest Colorado has to offer.”
