“The photographer came to The Bridal Bar with some inspo photos and said she really wanted to do some flash photography, which is trending right now, so of course we were very excited! We made the theme a little 1920′ glam meets Gatsby. The only place you can achieve this style is the Vancouver Club. It has the old charm that meets modern style. The chandelier and fireplace were our focal points. We added some old world touches like the rotary phone station and long satin gloves. The pearls were a much needed, touch as they are big right now in the wedding world! The models are a real couple so their chemistry was a huge plus for us and they both model professionally so they were amazing onsite. The cigar was one of our favourite little touches to bring in that old school vibe. The flowers were typically ones you would see at a 1920s wedding. The florist actually made a handbag with a chunky strap instead of the traditional bouquet since brides are searching for alternatives these days. We really loved this touch. The florist actually painted the centre of the anthuriums black and some of the leaves as well to tie into the theme. Ellssi Rentals was kind enough to bring some stunning Faberge glasses to the table which looked really beautiful. The napkins were of course in bows because those are also trending right now and we loved the look!”
