Sofia + Craig
After tackling long-distance love, the completion of two degrees, a coast-to-coast move and buying our first home, we knew we wanted a relaxed and intimate wedding surrounded by those closest to us. On a beautiful August weekend we were joined by 24 of our loved ones at the stunning Tin Poppy, a solar-powered retreat nestled in the Larch Hills. The remote setting and natural beauty made this the perfect place to celebrate our marriage with friends and family. The weekend was full of swimming, eating, games and campfires; topped off with a magical ceremony overlooking the North Okanagan Valley. With Craig decked out in a tweed suit and me in my mum’s wedding dress that was sewn by my grandmother, we shared our love and commitment to one another with our favourite people. We were then whisked off into the woods for our wedding photos in an experience that was better than we ever could have dreamed. Paulina captured the joy, intimacy and goofiness of our wedding perfectly. After a dinner of the most delicious pot pies imaginable, we settled into a night of drinking, bonding, music and bonfires. It was the perfect way to end the perfect weekend.
