Winter Engagement in Red Lodge

Brett and I had been together for almost 8 years when he finally decided to surprise me with the proposal.  It was the weekend after my 30th birthday, so he planned a birthday getaway for us to go out to Washington to stay with some of our great friends.  The day started out as normal, me sleeping in, and then us and our friends going out for brunch.  They had a full day of wine tasting planned for us and I was so excited.  Friends, food, and wine are definitely things that are all at the top of my favorites list! After visiting a tasting room in Spokane, we drove out to a winery that was a little outside of town that was gorgeously placed on top of a hill looking over most of Spokane. It was a perfect fall day, and the views were gorgeous.  As I was sitting there enjoying my wine, thinking that the day could not get any better, I looked behind me and saw Brett down on one knee.  To say I was surprised is an understatement! Let’s just say the day, and life from there has gotten that much better and I can not wait to marry my forever boyfriend in August!
