Austin and Jehna first met in 2013 while working together in a retail store. After realizing they attended the same university, they began their love story studying together and training at the school gym. Realizing they both had a passion for travelling, they started to explore the world together.
During a surprise trip to New York City that Austin planned after they competed in a fitness competition together, Austin proposed to Jehna in Central Park. Austin made plans with a photographer to pretend to be taking pictures of the Bethesda Terrace on the day when he planned to propose. As they walked through the terrace and by the photographer, as previously planned, Austin asked him if he would take a picture of the two of them. The photographer asked them to stand back-to-back, and to Jehna’s surprise, as she turned around Austin was on one knee and proposed.
After changing their wedding plans multiple times due to Covid-19, Jehna and Austin decided to have an intimate, romantic winter wonderland elopement with their close family at the Fairmont Chateau in Lake Louise last December. The day was magical and perfect in every sense. Truly the winter wonderland wedding they had always dreamed of. Jehna and Austin remained at the hotel after their wedding for their honeymoon, and spent the week hitting the slopes, hiking, and indulging in all the food.
