Montana Engagement Session

The Couple

Haley + Weston

Love Story

“Weston and I met our freshman year of college in 2017. I was going to college at the University of Montana near his home town. We had some mutual friends that invited me and some of my girl friends to a bonfire and it ends up Weston was there too. We talked throughout the night and exchanged contact information, and didn’t hear from him until a couple days after because I left my car hart hat in his pickup. So we met up so he could give me my hat back and we kept talking and sure enough two weeks later he came back home from college at MSU and took me on out first date. His family owns a cattle ranch so he took me up on top of the mountain to watch the sun go down with snacks and a small fire, we pretty much just hit it off after that.
The day he proposed, I was just getting off of work (I work as a respiratory therapist at the hospital) and he already had both horses saddled and said we were going for an evening ride, as we do all the time. We were on the lookout for deer/elk sheds when I found a shed on the trail in front of me, a pretty nice one too! Weston said maybe there’s a match to it laying around somewhere. And as I got off my horse and walked around the bend, the matching shed was laying in the grass with our initials and the dates written on it. When I turned around he was on one knee and popped the question! Wedding day is June 10th, 2023!”
