This elopement was inspired by adventure. We wanted something unique and different, the glacier and thawing lake was the perfect backdrop. Blackcomb Helicopters took us on a quick, 15 minute helicopter ride from Whistler to the location. We were lucky enough to take in the stunning views from up high. The location was unreal There were twin waterfalls from a melting glacier, an icy blue lake, and gorgeous rocky cliffs. It did not disappoint, and the cool temperatures were a comfort after being in the hot sun. The bride was dressed in a stunning Rue De Seine gown provided by Union Bridal, and the groom was covered in a custom fitted suit provided by Blair Shapera. Cavalier and Sarah Mulder both provided stunning jewelry to add a bit of rinery and elegance to the mix. The inspiration for the colours were warm, neutral tones and it was really tied together with the unique florals provided by Ivy May Florals. We wanted everything to stand out against the cool colours of the background. The bride wore white moccasins lovingly created by Jamie Gentry Designs and was able to navigate the uneven terrain with ease. Delicious lemon cupcakes from Cupcake Sensation survived the helicopter ride, and the couple got to enjoy them back on the launch pad to celebrate the amazing experience. The high winds from another helicopter that was launching provided some really fun and intense wind! As a team we had a wonderful experience and can’t wait to share the photos from it, and hopefully provide this experience to many more couples in the future!
