I am originally from Texas but have recently moved to Keystone, Colorado. I had decided I wanted to go into strictly wedding photography so I was in need of inspiration. I began searching online for local vendors and ended up finding a florist, calligrapher, hair and makeup artist, and of course, a bridal boutique. I was so ecstatic because this was the first styled shoot I had ever put together. All I needed to do was to find a real, authentic couple. I ended up searching all over Instagram hashtags and Facebook and ended up finding Emily and Cole. They met just about a year ago, and have such a unique style that I was so excited when they agreed to do the shoot. When Emily showed up in the real wedding dress, Cole couldn’t believe it. The entire time he just kept telling her how beautiful she was and how much he loved her. They were amazing models besides the fact it was their first time being in a professional shoot. It made it totally authentic and everything we had wanted. We ended up popping champagne and laughing almost the entire time. Not to mention they brought their cute husky along for the shoot! Safe to say I made new friends that day and got everything I imagined for the shoot. The inspiration for it all was a fairy tale mountain theme. I chose greens and white flowers because I felt that it was classic and fit the mood. We thrifted the tableware, except for gold silverware, which was from target. We chose the woods right outside of Mt. Evans because it literally looked like a scene from a storybook. Light beamed through the trees and there were pine cones everywhere. We later moved down to the lake and got some sunset photos. Each and every vendor made this shoot what it was. I hope you enjoy the photos as much as I enjoyed taking them!
