Whimsical Colorado Amusement Park Engagement

Shane and I met online and had our first date on my 28th birthday. I already had plans to get together with friends for dinner. Shane and I decided meet for a quick drink at a local brewery before meeting up with them. I needed to make sure he wasn’t a nut job- thankfully he was far from a nut! We instantly clicked, laughing and chatting all night. He met my friends for dinner and we had the best time. The rest is history!

Shane and I had plans to travel to Ireland in March and I was convinced he was going to propose while we were there. Shane’s family owns a beautiful, Christmas themed amusement park just outside of Colorado Springs. It is so special to us. Two days before we were scheduled to leave, Shane planned for us to meet up with his family at a nice restaurant in town.  He talked me into taking our dogs up to the amusement park for a quick walk before meeting up with his family. This is not unusal foe us. When we arrived, he asked me to grab something while he unloaded the dogs. When I turned around, he was down on one knee. I was SHOCKED! His sister filmed the whole thing. We got to FaceTime with my family in Texas and then meet up with his family right after. It was an unforgettable moment for both of us! This was the inspiration for our engagement session. We knew the park would be the perfect spot!
