Jess + Evan
“Jess and Evan met in, yep, that’s right, middle school – 7th-grade science class across the aisle from one another. The teacher actually moved Jess’ seat closer to Evan in hopes that Evan would stop disrupting class. He didn’t. Evan would ask Jess for pens on a daily basis and somehow managed to find a way to get a first date with her. Lucky for him, that wouldn’t be until the following year when Jess’s mom had to take them to Jones beach because they were too young to drive. Ultimately, Jess wasn’t ready for a life-long commitment at the age of 13, so she broke it off with Evan. Only to come running back in the 10th grade (he was cool), where they decided to give it another shot. During those three years, they spent the afternoons busing back and forth from school to one another’s houses, the weekends going on dates, and the summers with one another and their friends. They fell in love. After high school, they held on to that love and followed one another from Barcelona to Sri Lanka and Boston to San Francisco, where they’ve lived with their adorable dog Sam for the last four years. Evan still asks Jess for pens, but a lot has changed. They’re ready to spend the rest of their lives together. Two summers ago, we took a road trip to Montana and on our way back home, we made a pitstop through Yellowstone toward Jackson. We had plans to camp there for the night before waking up and finishing the last leg of the trip. Little did we know that when we would first lay eyes on the Tetons, it would be love at first sight. We were blown away by the summer wildflowers brushing up against sweeping views of those jagged, snow-capped ridges by day and unobstructed views of the night sky that evening. It was special. After we got engaged, we were thinking of places to have the wedding and ultimately landed on Jackson because we wanted to share that same feeling with all of our loved ones. We can’t wait to celebrate with you and watch along as you take in the wild beauty that only Wyoming has to offer.”
