Destination Wedding at Historic Eureka Lodge

Wedding Day

Brock and I wanted our wedding day to truly reflect our love story – euphoric, unique, intimate. There was no doubt we wanted to get married in Colorado, that’s where our story began, but choosing where exactly wasn’t easy. We magically stumbled upon Eureka Lodge after some serious digging on Instagram. I remember my heart dropping when I found that photo of the lodge and thinking to myself  ‘this is euphoric, this is unique, this is intimate. This is us.’ We wanted to give our friends and family an experience and that’s exactly what the lodge and Silverton, CO gave us. I’m still pinching myself that this is where we got married – it was truly euphoric and beyond anything we could have ever imagined. It was the perfect visionary of our love.

– Bride, Staci

Staci and Brock came to me after scouting in Southern Colorado for the perfect backdrop to host their destination wedding. Staci said, as soon as they made their way up the rugged dirt road to Eureka Lodge, she knew they had found a “gold mine. ” The lodge was built in the 1920s and is layered with incredible history and rich character. The lodge sits on 40 acres and is surrounded by National Forest, including a staggering box canyon, complete with waterfalls and towering pines. Needless to say, it created a most stunning backdrop for the union of these two native Texans and a breathtaking adventure for their guests.

The weather cooperated and, after days of unrelenting rain, and with nothing but rain in the forecast, we woke up to blue skies.  Brock and his groomsmen dressed on the top floor of the lodge, while Staci and the ladies prepared in the library, on the second floor.  The first looked was arranged in the woods, a short walk from the main house, over the bridge crossing waterfalls and cascading riverbeds. Romance was thick in the air with these two.

I love when couples can completely embrace being a bride and groom.  Staci and Brock did just that, and they threw one hell of a party in the process. Complete with costumes, a doughnut bar, and starlit dancing.
