Colorado Engagement

The Couple

Devin + Nick

Although this proposal may sound funny to some, it was more than I could ask for. Nick and I met in college on the Cross Country team. One day, Nick and I decided to go for a run at the Kissimmee Lakefront for a change of scenery. When we got there I noticed Nick was taking a little while to get out of the car, I had no idea he was sneaking the engagement ring in his pocket. We started our run and about 7 minutes in Nick asked if we could stop by the lighthouse because his foot was hurting. When we stopped I was on the opposite side of him, giving him space while he stretched. He then asked, “do you want to see my foot?” which I thought was a little weird. When I walked over he was already on one knee examining his foot. As I stepped in front of him he pulled out the ring and asked me those four words every girl wants to hear, “Will you marry me?” Nick knew how important it was for my family to be apart of this special moment, so my parents and brother came out from behind the lighthouse and surprised me. It was by far the easiest yes I ever had to give.
