When I first started dreaming up this shoot, I wanted to create a blend of different wedding styles to keep things simple yet stunning. Boho, earthy, glam, rustic, vintage…these are all styles of my couples that I love. Where the shoot was taking place in Jackson Hole, it was very important to us to honor the Wild West as well. You can see that in the details of the vintage-style bolo tie, china table settings, cowboy envelopes and the running horses. I chose a sleek, fitted gown that would highlight the bride’s beauty but also allow the lush pastures and breathtaking Tetons to compliment the couple as well. Steele Magnolias Design brought my vision to life with rich texture, neutral florals, cowhide rugs and rustic table settings. It was the perfect evening tucked away on the gorgeous Diamond Cross Ranch.

We at Steele Magnolias were honored to style this shoot for Carly Butler Photography. Just look at her work! Stunning is an understatement. I knew neutrals where a must when I first saw Diamond Cross Ranch. Those lush green meadows complimented all the earthy tones we used from flat wear to the sweetheart table itself. We wanted it to feel like country living at its finest, and the flames from the oil lamps to represent the campfires of the Wild West. These tones are always a favorite of mine when bride and groom are dressed in classic black and white! One thing I’ve learned about the boho vibe is it works with literally everything! We’ve done everything from 70’s boho to desert boho, but this ranch boho was truly special! The favorite moment of the night was the presence of the beloved horse, Fancy, in her floral necklace. We leave no stone unturned when creating spaces to make lasting memories! And Carly will definitely capture all the special moments bride and groom create there!
