The Cottage at Riverbend is a beautiful wedding venue off the beaten path in Boise, Idaho. It’s a 1930s fully restored Spanish cottage. This adds pretty unique elements to your wedding day. Everything is onsite. You actually get the cottage the entire weekend. This editorial inspired shoot was all about bringing a little bit of vintage and a lot of pretty to this venue. The inspiration for this editorial was to showcase the pretty details of a modern wedding. The colors were inspired by the season. Bright and vibrant colors really helped tie everything together. The vintage china for the head table and trays used for the dessert brought a classic and elegant look and added so much detail. The vintage look also tied in with the venue itself. The couple were in elegant attire. The Maggie Sottero gown brought intricate details and an elegant style to the bride’s look. The groom’s attire was sleek and the color of his tux added to the overall aesthetic of this inspiration. The couple is a genuine couple. The groom, Brett flew in two days before after a seven month long deployment in Qatar. The bride just finished her last semester at Boise State and walked for her graduation two days prior. The love that these two genuinely share for one another was evident in the photos. Let’s talk about the cake! This cake designer is amazingly talented and her intricate detail is present throughout this entire cake. The colors really came to life and showcased the whole vision. The intricate painting of the flowers with a unique design element of painted watercolor buttercream flowers. A unique blend of painted flowers, sugar flowers and real florals. The detail on this cake was so intricate and so beautifully done.
