Viewline Resort Snowmass: Where You Can Ski In and Say I Do

Some wedding venues have a view. Viewline Resort Snowmass has the whole mountain, and it is not shy about it. Chairlifts float over your ceremony. The Roaring Fork Valley crashes the reception. And when the last song plays, there is a disco ball waiting downstairs with your name on it.

Set right at the base of Fanny Hill and part of Marriott’s Autograph Collection, this is the Aspen Snowmass wedding venue where nobody has to call an Uber. Rehearsal dinner, ceremony, reception, after party, hotel rooms, brunch and a brand new spa all live on one glorious slopeside block. Your guests arrive Friday, drop the keys and do not pick them up again until Sunday. We toured it top to bottom and came home ready to renew our vows.

Five Venues, Zero Compromises

Most venues ask you to choose between the view and the dance floor. Viewline hands you both, plus a fireplace, a rooftop and a lawn with its own chairlift.

The Lawn
Aisle goals. A wide open stretch of green at the foot of the ski slope with aspens on the horizon and the chairlift drifting overhead in summer, so your ceremony photos come with built-in motion. It fits 50 to 200 guests and it is the reason we started calling this place Ski In, Say I Do.

The Rooftop Terrace Tent
The hottest reservation in Snowmass Village is a tent. This 4,100 square foot rooftop stunner comes with valley views for miles, cafe lights overhead and a sunset that handles the decor budget for you. It seats 300 for dinner or 450 for a cocktail-style party, and yes, it books up fast.

The Viewline Ballroom
Big guest list? Bigger ballroom. At more than 10,000 square feet with 20 foot ceilings, this is the largest ballroom in all of Aspen Snowmass, seating up to 760 for dinner. It also splits into cozier salons if your list runs closer to 100. Tall centerpieces, a 12 piece band, a ceiling full of florals, it can take whatever you throw at it.

The Apres Deck at Stark’s
Two levels of open-air terrace with Snowmass Mountain on one side and the Roaring Fork Valley on the other. Fire pits, string lights and a golden-hour glow that flatters absolutely everyone. Welcome party for 100? Done.

Club House
The secret spot. Hardwood floors, a crackling fireplace and a built-in bar for up to 50 of your favorite people. Rehearsal dinner, snowy micro wedding or a next-morning gift opening in your slippers, this is where the intimate moments happen.

Last Call Is Just the Beginning

The reception ends. The night does not. Viewline built two of the most fun rooms in the Rockies about 40 steps from the ballroom doors.

The Flower Shop is retro après at its finest. Pink ceilings, wood paneled walls, a mounted bison who has seen things, a disco ball scattering light across the room, a stone fireplace and a vintage pool table glowing under an orange glass lamp. It is the 1970s ski lodge of your dreams, minus the shag carpet. Reserve it for the after party and watch your grandmother rack the balls.

The Clubhouse turns the dial all the way up. Hot pink carpet, a curved velvet sofa, a stainless steel DJ booth loaded with real turntables and a wall of vinyl, and a pool table smack in the center of the room. It moonlights as a boutique too, so expect at least one groomsman to walk out in brand new boots.

And when the aunts want a proper martini, the Viewline Lobby Bar delivers with a two story wood feature wall, floor to ceiling windows and a lineup of bright blue bar stools that photograph like a dream.

Wake Up on the Mountain

Viewline’s rooms and suites sit right on the mountain, and many come with a balcony view of the lifts. For the couple (or the parents, or the whole bridal party), the Snowmass Grand Two Bedroom Residence is the one to fight over. Chef’s kitchen, a dining table for eight, a sunken living room, a pillow-stacked window seat with a straight shot to the slopes and a bedroom wrapped in warm wood paneling. Getting-ready suite of the year, no contest.

Then round everyone up for brunch on the patio. Avocado toast crowned with poached eggs and hollandaise, waffles buried in berries, green juices and a very generous pour of mimosas, all served in a grove of aspens. The hangover never stood a chance.

A Spa Worth Adding to the Registry

Here is a flex no other Snowmass wedding venue can pull off. Viewline is home to RAKxa spa, the only ski-in/ski-out spa in Snowmass, offering a seamless transition from the thrill of the slopes to the serenity of alpine wellness.. The entry alone, with its moody dark walls, alabaster chandelier and cozy lounge overlooking the lifts, sets the tone. Book a bridal party spa day, a couples massage the day before or a well-earned recovery session the morning after.

Pick a Package, Skip the Spreadsheet

Viewline’s catering team keeps it wonderfully simple with two all-inclusive packages, plus a third for couples who would rather trade the big production for a lift ticket.

A Grand Affair (starting at $250 per guest) includes three passed hors d’oeuvres, a plated dinner with your choice of two entrees, a custom wedding cake, a sparkling wine toast, his and hers cocktails and five hours of hosted bar.

Evergreen Promise (starting at $199 per guest) is the Sunday through Thursday option from April through mid-November with two passed hors d’oeuvres, a plated dinner, dessert and four hours of hosted bar. Perfect for a mountain-town weekday wedding with a smaller guest list.

Elope on the Slope is our favorite name in the business. Book within two weeks and Viewline handles the ceremony space, a local officiant, bouquet and boutonniere, a photographer, a cake, a three night stay and dinner for two at Stark’s Alpine Grill. Pack a dress, pack the skis, come home married.

Every wedding also comes with a complimentary wedding night stay for the couple, discounted room rates for guests, a menu tasting for four, floor-length linens, china and glassware, a dance floor and Marriott Bonvoy points toward your honeymoon. Translation: your reception is quietly funding your honeymoon.

Bring Your Appetite (and Stretchy Pants)

We read the catering menus twice and are now planning a trip. Cocktail hour picks like pork belly bao buns, Colorado lamb lollipops and Maine lobster rolls. Plated dinners with 12-hour braised short ribs, seared Chilean sea bass and a chicken and shrimp duo. A custom cake in flavors like hazelnut praline or lemon curd. And for the late-night crowd, an After Glow menu (they call it late night hangover prevention) with Kobe beef sliders, a taco cantina and a full s’mores experience around a fire pit.

The Short List

  • Slopeside ceremony lawn with chairlift views
  • The largest ballroom in Aspen Snowmass
  • A rooftop tent with panoramic valley views
  • Retro après lounges for the after party
  • RAKxa spa, the only ski-in/ski-out spa in Snowmass
  • Rooms, dining and celebration all in one place
  • Ski-in, ski-out in winter, hiking and biking trails in summer

Whether you are dreaming of a summer wedding with wildflowers on the lawn or a winter celebration with fresh powder outside the ballroom windows, Viewline Resort Snowmass makes the whole weekend feel like one long exhale. Big views, big fun and a disco ball at the end of the night.
